Wilier’s Stella is going to be perfect for women who are getting into road cycling. It’s stable at speed, confidence inspiring and comfortable.

The Stella is designed around Wilier’s monocoque (one piece) carbon frame. And the frame has been designed for primarily comfort and long endurance rides.

However, Wilier has its DNA firmly in racing. So, although it’s the “more comfortable” option in their line up, it will suit those riders who prefer a riding position that’s a little more sporty. If you want something more upright and relaxed, you’re better off looking at the Liv Avail road bike range.

The Stella is built with a majority 11 speed Shimano Ultegra components throughout. The internal cable routing of the frame and levers is clean and well thought out. The levers are also fully adjustable for smaller hands.

The Ultegra groupset is paired to Shimano RS100 wheels. These are perfect to get started; reliable and durable. But in time, it would be worthwhile upgrading these. It will add another layer of performance to the Stella, making it easier to climb and far more responsive to ride.
